One Crown is a medieval card game of betrayal, lies, and manipulation. You and your friends play as cunning nobles, each scheming to seize the throne. The twist? One of you begins as the king, but power rarely lasts for long. Your goal is simple: collect the most gold and end the game as king after 4 rounds. To get there, you’ll need to play your cards wisely. Each card unlocks unique actions that can turn the tide in your favor, from clever tricks to ruthless betrayals. Maybe a rival has been annoying you all game. Drop the Royal Parrot card, force them to hand over 100 gold, and make them repeat any sentence you choose in a ridiculous high-pitched voice. Every round brings new surprises, shifting alliances, and moments of pure chaos. What never changes is the guarantee: an unforgettable, laughter-filled experience with friends and family. One Crown is played with 4–8 players. The objective is to collect the most gold and end the game as king in 4 rounds. At the start, one player becomes the King by drawing the red Character Card, while everyone else plays as a Noble. The King begins with 1000 gold, and each Noble starts with 600. Players track their gold using the small crowns placed on their Character Cards. The King has a unique deck designed to turn nobles against one another, while the nobles share a separate deck. Each player begins the game with 8 cards. All the cards have actions on them, and many of them are different. They allow you to take gold from other nobles, protect yourself, split people apart, and do a wide range of things. Place the round counter in the center of the table. It shows whether play will move clockwise or counterclockwise for each round. A round begins with the King, who plays 3 cards and draws 3 (or 2 and 2 if there are only 3 nobles). Then, each Noble in turn plays 2 cards and draws 2, continuing around the circle until it comes back to the King. After everyone has taken their turn, the Deal Phase begins. For 1–2 minutes, players may negotiate, trade gold, swap cards, or make deals with one another. Once the deal phase ends, a new round begins. Play continues for 4 rounds in total. At any point during the game, if a Noble surpasses the King in gold, they immediately switch seats with the King, taking their crown, deck, and gold. After the fourth round, the player who holds the crown and has the most gold wins the game. To summarize everything. Hand out character cards and use them to track your gold. Whoever gets the red one is the king. Then hand out 8 cards to each player. Start at the king, they play and draw 3. The next player after them plays 2 and draws 2 until everyone's turn is over. After everyone is done start the deal phase and exchange gold, favors, cards for 1-2 minutes. Then repeat for 4 rounds. Whoever ends the game as king wins. - Around 100 cards - Round counter card - Game guide - Red pouch with dice and small crowns
